Halloween is on the horizon, so let’s talk horror stories and how to avoid them!

Here’s my elaboration on a few items that caught my eye:
- “Become the ‘go-to’ person.” A blog and social media are excellent ways to establish expertise!
- “Cranky employees.” I’ll share a story of not so much a cranky employee, but a ridiculously indifferent one. I was at a shoe store and asked to try on some shoes. The employee seemed surprised I asked for her help; she took forever to get the shoes; she didn’t look me in the face during most of our interaction; and she seemed distracted and bored. I bought the shoes, and I love them to this day, but I felt weirdly bad about the purchase. Giving my money to someone who couldn’t care less felt a little like throwing it away and discouraged me from returning to that store even though I liked their products. Don’t let this happen to you!
- “You are not visible.” This is a common one, and if a customer can’t find you online, they likely won’t try to find you in person. So determine your findability score with our tool that helps your gauge how findable you are!
