Rick Hanna, Dex One’s executive vice president of sales and marketing, delivered a strong keynote address to hundreds of the digital marketing industry’s leading innovators and strategists at BIA/Kelsey’s SMB Digital Marketing 2012 event in Chicago on Sept. 18.
The biannual SMB Digital Marketing events offer learning opportunities for businesses that deliver digital media and marketing solutions to small businesses, including a focus on critical topics from its high-profile keynote experts.
Hanna focused on the need for companies to transform their sales forces to provide service that ensures the success of local business the new digital marketing environment. He discussed Dex One’s digital sales transformation strategies, including recruiting best practices, “digital mastery” and on-demand multimedia training programs, new technology and applications to present and bundle marketing packages, operational efficiencies and motivational management strategies.
The company’s significant transformation in the digital selling space and the introduction of new digital products over the last 18 months resulted in a 53 percent increase in second quarter and expected digital bookings growth rates in excess of 30 percent for the balance of the year.
