DexYP™ has been named Sage Sustainable Electronics’ GoodTogether® Technology Donor of the Year for its support of community nonprofits. The company’s donation of 200 refurbished Apple iPads to organizations supports and improves the delivery of vital social services to thousands in the Los Angeles area and beyond.
Sage Sustainable Electronics presents its GoodTogether Technology Donor of the Year award to one company nationally that creates transformative social impact through a gift of refurbished technology.
“The profits we could have garnered by selling this equipment are small in comparison to the difference these resources can make for others,” said Gordon Henry, DexYP Chief Marketing Officer. “We are proud to contribute to the communities in which we live and work.”
According to Sage President Jill Vaské, the GoodTogether program amplifies the benefits of reuse by supporting the missions of worthy non-profits.
“DexYP is a shining example of a company using IT Asset Disposition to achieve both strategic and sustainability results,” Vaské said.
Sage supported the donation by providing data security, refurbishing, and distribution services, and assisted DexYP in identifying local nonprofits prepared to use the iPads productively. Sage presented the award to DexYP at the Glendale, California, office on July 20 with a keynote from Vaské.
Organizations receiving iPads include Avalon Elementary School, Endeavor, Darbyville Community Technology Center, West After School, Radio KFZR, SPARK, Bridges of Hope, Chelsea High School, Belmar Elementary School, Legacy LA, HEP and the Auntie Karen Foundation.
